A hotel, resort or residential development has a specification problem that a single household doesn’t: consistency at scale.

Fifty rooms, twenty balconies, a terrace restaurant, a pool bar and a spa — each with its own opening, each needing a screen, and all of them needing to look like they belong to the same property. A single mismatched frame finish or a screen that fails in the first season becomes a maintenance item across the whole estate.

We supply folding mosquito screens for hotels, resorts and property developers, produced to one specification and shipped as a project. This page sets out how project supply works, what we need from you, and how the specification is agreed.

What Project Supply Involves One specification across the property. Same system type, same mesh, same frame finish, same fixing method. Every room matches, and replacements match later.

Itemised by room and opening. Quotations are broken down by room type, floor and opening, so the work can be approved and phased.

Sample approval before bulk. A physical sample of the frame finish and mesh is approved before production begins.

Phased delivery. Screens are produced and shipped floor by floor or building by building, to suit the construction or refurbishment schedule.

Measurements on file. Every opening is recorded against its room and floor. Replacements are ordered from the file, without a repeat site visit.

Replacement panels. Damaged panels are replaced individually, produced to the original specification.

Where Folding Screens Are Specified Guest rooms — balcony doors, terrace doors and patio doors.

Public areas — restaurant terraces, pool bars, lobby openings and lounge doors.

Spa and wellness — pool areas, treatment room openings and relaxation terraces.

Residential developments — apartment balconies, townhouse patios and penthouse terraces.

Serviced apartments — balcony and terrace doors in short-let units.

For openings up to six metres wide, a folding system covers the full span. For very wide openings, multiple panels or a combination of systems is agreed before production.

Specification System type. Telescopic, roll-back, guardrail or double-door, selected according to the opening, the exposure and the traffic. For high-rise balconies and exposed terraces, guardrail or roll-back systems with screw fixing at specified intervals.

Mesh: 304 stainless steel. Densely woven, impact-resistant, non-deforming. It resists clawing, pushing and daily wear, wipes clean and can be disinfected. It’s rust- and corrosion-resistant, which matters in coastal and humid locations.

Frame: aluminium alloy, colour-matched. Rigid, warp-resistant, rust-free. Powder-coated to a supplied reference so every room in every building matches.

Fixing: screw-fixed for exposed and high-traffic openings, adhesive for finished surfaces. The fixing method is agreed per opening type.

Child safety lock available where required.

What We Need for a Project Quote Property type and location — hotel, resort, residential development or serviced apartments

Schedule of openings — room type, floor, opening dimensions and quantity

Drawings or room layouts — where available, to check the opening types

Exposure — coastal, high-rise, sheltered or exposed

Frame finish reference — for colour matching

Phasing — construction or refurbishment schedule, and when each phase is needed

Sample requirements — whether a physical sample is required before bulk production

We’ll review the schedule and reply within 24 hours with a specification recommendation and an itemised quotation.

Project Workflow Enquiry — property type, schedule of openings, exposure, frame finish reference

Drawing and schedule review — approach confirmed, irregular openings flagged

Specification — system type, mesh, frame finish and fixing method agreed

Sample approval — frame finish and mesh sample supplied for approval

Site measurement — dimensions taken after openings are installed, or confirmed against drawings

Quotation — itemised by room and opening

Production — each panel cut and finished to its measured opening

Delivery — phased shipment, sea or air freight

Installation — fixing method confirmed, guidance provided

Aftercare — replacement panels, additional phases on request

Regional Notes Coastal resorts — salt air and wind. Specify stainless steel mesh, aluminium frames and screw fixing on exposed elevations.

High-rise developments — wind load increases with height. Specify guardrail or roll-back systems with screw fixing at specified intervals.

Tropical and humid regions — stainless steel mesh is non-absorbent and doesn’t support mould growth. Specify stainless steel throughout.

Desert and dusty regions — fine sand passes through coarse mesh. Specify fine stainless steel mesh and plan for regular rinsing.

Cold climates — stainless steel mesh stays flexible in freezing temperatures. Confirm the frame specification for freeze-thaw cycles.

Quality Control for Projects Every order is checked before packing:

Dimension verification — each panel measured against the schedule

Mesh inspection — weave density, tension, absence of defects

Frame inspection — finish, colour match, absence of warping or corrosion

Operation check — telescopic track, roll-back mechanism, guardrail fixing, double-door panels

Packaging check — carton printing, labelling, protection for freight

Production photographs are provided before shipping on request.

Shipping for Projects Method Best for Transit time Sea freight Bulk orders, 20FT/40FT containers, LCL or FCL 15–35 days, most economical Air freight Urgent phases, mid-volume 5–10 days Rail transport Europe and Central Asia 18–25 days, cost-effective Express (DHL/FedEx) Samples and small parcels 3–7 days, door-to-door Customs support and full logistics coordination included.
